Teddy Cruz was born in Guatemala City. He obtained a Master in Design Studies at Harvard University in 1997. He has been recognized internationally for his urban research of the Tijuana-San Diego border, advancing border immigrant neighborhoods as sites of cultural production, from which to rethink urban policy, affordable housing and civic infrastructure. Simon Mayeski is a founding member of SanDiego 350. He has focused on the Regional Plan for the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), paying particular attention to SANDAG’s responsibility to fight global climate change in California.
