Polluters Pay Resolution Vote at Vista City Council

Youth v. Oil is advocating for the Vista City Council to pass a resolution supporting the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund, to hold the largest fossil fuel companies accountable for the climate damages they caused.
This resolution will be heard at the Vista City Council meeting. Please help ensure the resolution passes!
Please show your support for youth leaders.
- Attend the meeting – in-person if possible (you can also tune in to watch online). The meeting starts at 5:30 pm, and we expect our item to come up between 6 and 7 pm.
- Submit written public comment ahead of the meeting. Here is our toolkit with instructions.
Why does this matter?
The Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act would hold the largest fossil fuel companies accountable for the climate damages they caused. The bill will be voting on by state legislators in January and we need all the support we can to demand they pass the bill!
