Tell the PUC: no SDG&E rate hikes! (in person) #1
Date:
SDG&E is asking the California Public Utility Commission (PUC) to raise our rates, again.
Join us to say no to SDG&E rate hikes and to demand affordable, clean energy at one of the PUC’s public participation meetings. We will provide suggested talking points, signs and detailed information closer to the date, but please register now to attend – especially the in-person hearings, where we will be holding brief rallies ahead of the meetings. There will also likely be opportunities to submit comments online.
Schedule for Tuesday, Nov 10 – RSVP for one or both hearings – in person at Santee City Hall:

Hearing 1 – this registration event
- 1:15 pm: Press conference in front of city hall
- 2 pm: Hearing (runs until all participants have a chance to speak)
Hearing 2 – click here to register
- 5:00 pm: Rally in front of city hall
- 6pm: Hearing (runs until all participants have a chance to speak)
There will also be four virtual hearings over two days (links coming soon):
- Wed, Dec 9, 2 pm – virtual
- Wed, Dec 9, 6 pm – virtual
- Thurs, Dec 10, 2 pm – virtual
- Thurs, Dec 10, 6 pm – virtual
It’s time for the PUC to stop rewarding SDG&E’s underhanded tactics for increasing shareholder profits at our expense, while they work to kill rooftop solar and building decarbonization. Join us!!!
Transportation
- There’s lots of parking in the city administration complex and on Magnolia Ave.
- 832 bus to Woodglen Vista Drive and Magnolia Ave (~7 min walk) – not very frequent – about 45-60 min apart
- Copper line connector Trolley to Santee Town Center, 152 Civic Center Dr., – can catch the 832 bus there. NOT close to city hall – almost 3 miles away.
We’re excited to partner on this work with the San Diego Energy Justice Coalition, including ACCE, Climate Action Campaign, Public Power San Diego and In Good Company.
