SanDiego350 is a climate action organization fighting to prevent the worst impacts of climate change and climate injustice. We’re in the fight for democracy because democracy and climate justice are deeply intertwined: democratic, inclusive institutions and governance are essential to creating equitable climate policies that protect marginalized communities. A strong democracy, with accountability, transparency and representation, ensures those most affected by climate change are able to influence decisions – while the climate crisis threatens the stability of democratic governments by increasing inequality, conflict, and resource scarcity.
