We invite you to join us for a summer evening series presented by the World Resources SimCenter in partnership with the World Affairs Council, United Nations Association, The Equinox Center and the SDSU Geography Department.

Week 8 - 7/31
Building Resilient Cities - Designing Resilient Waste Systems
Resilient political action will not be taken unless it is economically feasible. San Diegans are surrounded by capitalist economies at regional, state, and national levels; as a result, policymakers need positive financial projections from economists before administering new legislation. Renewable energy transitions will require upfront capital investments, but extensive research demonstrates the affordability of renewable options as their technologies continue to be developed and improved. This presentation aims to educate San Diego about the financial opportunities that resilient policies pose for our region.
We invite you to bring your expertise and add your content during the Q & A . . . We learn better, together.
