There is a possibility of securing San Diego's water resources' drought-resilience utilizing Qualcomm's new M2M (machine to machine) techonology. Qualcomm's Jason Ellis recently finished a Smart Water Assets sector M2M cellular-based Cyber-Physical-Systems (CPS) module for the SmartAmerica Challenge (a White House Presidential Innovation fellow project) optimizing the use of limited water resources during drough management through the reduction of water loss associated with unplanned uses.
