On October 24th, young people across California will host school walkouts to say: “Youth Demand Climate Action!” and pressure legislators to support the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund, a California bill that would make the largest fossil fuel polluters pay for the climate damages they’ve caused. 

Youth v. Oil is advocating for the San Diego City Council to pass a resolution supporting the CA Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act (SB 684 and AB 1243), to hold the largest fossil fuel polluters financially accountable for the climate damages they knowingly caused and profited off of. 

The Environmental Leadership Summit is organized by the Environmental Center of San Diego. It is an all-day conference for leaders of environmental organizations and anyone engaged in regional environmental issues. The focus is “Environmental Leadership in the Age of Uncertainty”. It will include a series of panel discussions on confronting fire in a changing world and our creeks, lagoons, and coast in a changing climate. The Keynote Speaker is Dr.

Join SanDiego350’s virtual Power Hour as we rally support for the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act (state legislation currently in the CA Senate – SB 684 and Assembly – AB 1243). Mesa Rim Mission Valley is a thirty minute walk from the Mission Valley Center Trolley Station on the green line (if you are riding transit, let us know and we will pick you up at the station!).
